Competence development concept for healthy and sound growth

Requirements of the client:

A family-run, medium-sized company invested in new businesses and jobs, which has led changing workflows and functions and confronted the partners with the following problem: due to the basic character of the employees, which was based on different backgrounds, in-house cooperation deteriorated and conflicts were fuelled.

Our approach:

Successful integration tasks in the event of organisational changes require “new” competences, both for long-serving employees and for newly recruited personnel. Consequently, the central element of our competence development concept was, on the one hand to direct the self-conception of the employees and on the other hand the overall understanding of entrepreneurship towards a common objective. It was clarified to partners and management that their company had entered a new level of development, which required other forms of corporate and employee development. For this purpose, success-related growth characteristics were defined, which entered as requirements into the business processes and provided a basis for decision-making.

The result:

Partners and managers acquired an extended understanding of management and the skills of the employees were developed. Now the whole staff is on the way as a team. The former area of tension characterised by loss of efficiency and conflict areas has developed into a common area of interest, in which employees explore the opportunities of their own as well as the development of the company.
